Verb. 1. dare to do something or go somewhere that may be a risky or daring journey or undertaking.

that’s what we do!

A Venturing Crew is a fun-filled, coed organization run, organized and executed by teens, for teens, designed to help develop leadership and teamwork through outdoor adventures and unique outings and activities. It’s a development program for young men and women who are at least 13 1/2 (or have completed the eighth grade) through 21 years of age.

The youth members of our Venturing Crew are the leaders. We organize, run and execute each and every outing/event. We are limited only by our imagination.

Venturing FriendsVenturing is based on a unique and dynamic relationship between youth, adult leaders, and organizations in our community. The result is a program of exciting and meaningful activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, to grow, to develop leadership skills, and to become good citizens. Adventure Crew 1842 is sponsored by St. Thomas of Villanova Church in Rosemont, PA and is open to all teens in our area.

We know you’re busy. So are we! This is why we only meet about once per month to socialize and plan our Adventure outings and activities, which typically happen every other month. We get lots of fun and action out of our time together.

In our venturing crew, adults do not hold the position of leader, but provide "shadow" guidance as Advisers/Counselors. All Adult Advisers are trained in specific venture crew age youth protection and teen dynamics, so that they are able to keep youth safe.

Venturing is a program of the Boy Scouts of America. For more details go to Venturing.
