We will be heading to the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown to experience their new Treetop Adventures.  We will be doing the Treetop Zoofari Course featuring 20 games/challenges and 8 zip lines the longest of which takes you over the bison coral into the wilderness portion of the property.  You finish with a zip over Stony Creek back to where you began. The Interfaith Hospitality Network of the Main Line (www.ihncares.org) serves homeless families in our area by providing Emergency Shelter, Meals, Life Skills Counseling, and Job Coaching.  IHN is dedicated to helping families who seek to be accountable, resilient, and strive for a better tomorrow.  St. Thomas of Villanova Parish is one of the area congregations that provides living accommodations and meals for the IHN program participants for one week every three months.  Our service project is to help breakdown the classrooms at the parish center which have been used for the past week as living quarters and restore them to a classroom setting in time for Sunday School.  Please do consider getting involved with this worthwhile, ongoing community service project.  Parents are also welcome to help out.  Be sure to indicate that you will be there next Sunday, 21 January 2018, by clicking the Event Registration to the right. 

Get ready for another exciting Venturing year with Crew 1842!  Our Venturing activity year runs from September through August, and it's now time to renew your membership for the 2017-2018 year.  To cover annual registration with the BSA, insurance, and administrative costs for the crew, we charge an annual membership fee of $60 per person.  We ask that you remit this fee by logging into our website, clicking on Online Payments under Menu to the left, selecting your name from the drop-down list, and then clicking on Add to Cart.  You will then see a View Cart button under your Username.  Click on View Cart and then Checkout to pay via credit card or PayPal.  We ask that you remit your payment as soon as possible, but no later that October 31, 2016.  Thank you!
